MEET THE LIONS/LIONETTES

Saturday, August 29, 2009 @ 6:30 p.m.-A town Pep-rally will be held to meet all the Varsity Fall Sports players and coaches. LionFest will follow immediately after with carnival games, food, and live music till 9 pm! Don't forget to also buy your BBQ tickets for a Brisket & Sausage lunch earlier that day from 11am -2 pm. for a complete day of celebration!

SPECIAL MEETING

Notice of Special Meeting on Monday, August 17, 2009 @ 6 pm in the LFHS old gym. A BBQ fundraiser to benefit all student athletes is now in progress. Please buy your tickets from any Booster Member. The Booster Club is also looking for a Parent Representative from each high school grade level so that we may be able to represent all student athletes and all sports equally. ATTENTION Booster Members: Reserved parking spaces for all home Varsity Football games will be on sale beginning August 3, 2009 during the Regular scheduled meeting at LFHS gym @ 6:00 pm.

La Feria Athletic Booster Club

PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE:

We are La Feria Athletic Booster Club....a non-profit organization in the process of raising funds for youth athletic scholarships and a recognition banquet. I would like to express my sincere thanks for your support over the last year, and I hope you continue to be involved with all athletic programs in 2009-2010.

With your support, in our first year of existence, La Feria Athletic Booster Club was able to award $500 scholarships to five senior athletes. Congratulations to our inaugural scholarship recipients : Bruce Bauer, Melanie Leija, Delicia Sanchez, Justin Villalon, and Stephen White. Good luck to these students in furthering their education.

We are currently renewing memberships and enrolling new members for the school year 2009-2010. If your child participates in high school athletics, we need your support through our membership drive. Meetings are held every first Monday at 6:00 p.m. in the LFHS gym. We are hoping all families of all athletes will take this chance to join us by filling out an application.

We are excited about the upcoming year and have already developed a calendar of events which include a Meet the Lions Town Rally, Fall Dinner/Dance, athletic camps/clinics, and an All Sports Award Banquet. We are always looking for new ideas and volunteers!

In addition, the efforts of the Booster Club directly benefit all athletic programs at LFHS. We are very proud of our rich athletic heritage and of the student athletes who have shown dedication to academics, their sport, to each other, and to personal improvement. We invite you to become an active part of your child's athletic experience by becoming a member and promoting positive parent involvement in all the athletic programs.
